Timeless Luxury, Woven to Last

Mohair Carpet Maze #6554 – Handwoven Mohair Carpet

Crafted from premium mohair, this handwoven carpet offers the perfect balance of strength, softness, and durability. Naturally elastic and resilient, it’s designed to handle daily life—even in high-traffic areas—while maintaining a rich, tactile feel underfoot.

Using traditional weaving techniques passed down through generations, each carpet is built with a tight, dense weave to ensure long-lasting quality, bringing an organic, artistic touch to modern interiors.

Color Palette: Lox Mohair & Natural

A statement in texture and tone, this carpet is destined to become a future heirloom.

Understanding Lox Mohair

This carpet is woven from a unique and character-rich variety of mohair known as Lox. Unlike the smooth, uniform fibres typically associated with mohair, Lox stands out for its naturally stained, uneven specks of dark hair found on the Angora goat. These darker strands occur organically and give the fibre a beautifully variegated texture and tone, resulting in a distinctive visual depth.

Lox mohair often retains plant materials—such as tiny twigs, seeds, and natural thorns—which become entangled in the fibres during the goat’s life on the veld. These natural inclusions are intentionally spun into the yarn, preserving the authenticity and wild charm of the material.

The presence of these elements contributes to a highly textured, rustic finish that celebrates the raw beauty of nature. Rather than being a flaw, each embedded seed or thorn is a testament to the handmade, artisanal process, reflecting a respect for natural imperfection and a deep connection to the land and animal.

Care Instructions:
Lay flat outdoors on a clean surface. Rinse gently with cold water and mild soap. Use a soft brush or cloth to lift dirt. Let air dry flat in the shade. Avoid pressure washers and harsh chemicals.
